Bronstans claim only NBA fans don’t value longevity for goat debates. It’s ONLY LeBronstans that put that much value on longevity and ONLY for LeBron. 1. Almost no NFL fan picks Emmitt Smith as best RB of all time despite him having easily best career rushing stats. They usually Barry Sanders or Jim Brown, retired by age 30 and 29. Walter Payton is a top 3 choice but not Emmitt Smith 2. MLB fans rarely have Hank Aaron as the goat but usually have Babe Ruth, Ted Williams or Willie Mays who each played fewer games than Hank Aaron who has the record for *home runs and rbi (*roid Bonds not counted) 3. They wouldn’t have Karl Malone anywhere near top 4 all time despite top 4 career stats and wouldn’t have Stockton near top 6ish all time despite top 6ish career stats 4. The “LeBron is the goat” crowd won’t even acknowledge Jordan is better through age 35 and want to use the career stats to even defend who is better through age 35

There is no legit argument for LeBron as GOAT. The GOAT is Jordan, certainly of the past 40yrs. MJ statistically better, more of the important accomplishments, far better clutch player, & even outperformed LeBron on titles despite Bron having better statistical odds for titles Jordan also faced tougher playoff teams in both SRS/NRtgs and the ranking of SRS/NRtgs. This graphic shows how MJ was also far better statistically when you compare their advanced stats to their era. Advanced stats are heavily influenced by era (the rules/enforcement of that year as well changes in how they play the game). Graphic compares them to the top 2 other players in those categories but I've run the numbers for BPM vs top 3, 5 and 9 others. Age 21-35, how they did in BPM vs: Top 3 MJ: 26.9% better Bron: 8.2% better Top 5: MJ: 39.1% better Bron: 18.1% better Top 9: MJ: 58.1% better Bron: 36.1% better So no, this graphic didn't cherry pick "top 2". It holds just as well vs top 3, top 5, and top 9 others.
