@McCadeP8 Really don’t think the % difference in odds (2 balls v 3) would be enough to make a team tank. The bigger issue before was worst team being guaranteed a T5 pick, 2nd worst -> T6 pick, etc.

Random point for tanking…..if you are bad and have traded away your pick, you are now incentivized to tank to the relegation zone so that your pick is less likely to get a top 5 pick, so that you save your top 5 pick potential for the next year when you own it

This season, this draft did not require adding an immediate impact starter. Instead they added a future impact starter that they won’t be forced to trade up to get.

Before we all get *too* caught up in Ty Simpson discourse here, do remember that the average number of starting quarterbacks who make it through 17 games every year is only 11. There’s an argument that investing in a backup that could keep a team in the 1-seed race is important

@Allen47389345 @BrettKollmann The point is they didn’t need Ferg for last year. They had 3 TE. The pick was depth and future. Picking at 13 this year would have been the same. There was NO ONE that would be a 1 this year. Lemon, Sadiq would be for the future just like Ferg and now Simpson.
