@Allen_TSS

Not always kind, but always try. I don't always agree with my tweets (song lyrics excluded)

@Allen_TSS @robnmish I started with the team at the beginning, moving there from New Jersey. Then I moved away after two years to work at DraftKings (Boston). I later ended up with the Coyotes and was with the team went down.

When I was in Vegas, I learned the city is way different than many think. Many think it’s only casinos/tourists. People from there are as fiercely proud of their city as anywhere in the country. Them against the world attitude. Blue collar. They turn out for their teams. They’ll support the full group just fine.

Vegas going from no pro sports teams at the top level to having one in damn near every league by '29 is nuts * Golden Knights * A's * Raiders * Aces * NBA - TBD * MLS - Whitecaps relo I love it for the city to have options but not sure how the town supports all of them well

@foxonabox_ MLB is on the decline and it worries diehard fans. They are scared the Bananas will chip away at the "real" game.

@Allen_TSS I lived in Summerlin for two years. I was one of the first five employees in Golden Knights history and was in the room when the majority of the original season tickets were sold. I know both the area and sports scene well.

@exile72 @VegasAsFan @OaklandRooted It has a fair bit of corruption, and awful politics. Status quo for or an area with massive influxes of money. Really sucks for the less fortunate people with little means though.

I don't have a dog in the fight, and I'm not interested a battling with you @OaklandRooted and others, but in your crusade against MLB, I'm offering some reality. The plight of Oakland losing a team is not going to get a lot of sympathy. Most of the country sees California and especially the Bay Area as losing businesses of all kinds from fast foods to Oracle. A sports team leaving is only a small part of the general trend. What most people would prefer is seeing the area fix its problems. Most of the media conveniently covered up for the city and region that blocked evey time the team tried to get a new stadium over a 20+ year period. They stired up misdirected hatred among the fans. Had the fans and the rest of the voters demanded a pro-business, pro-growth government, things might have been different. Since John Fisher acquired the team in 2005, they were among the top 11 teams in playoff appearance years while attendance ranked a miserable 27 out of 30. The media encouraged a feeling of entitlement instead of gratitude for having what many other cities crave. That feeling of entitlement in the Bay Area alienates many. Any investigation of MLB would show this move was more than justified. The people in the Bay Area would be far better off if they had a serious introspection of what happened and why.

@LasVegasLocally Being run so poorly you're fanless, so you turn to visiting team's fans to make ends meet. 😎

@jayhaykid So far, not even private equity wants to touch the A's.

Ultimately I think sports fans are gonna end up yearning for the days of individual or family-oriented ownership of franchises. Private equity insidiously making its way into the arena has been, and will continue to be, a net negative objectively and subjectively for fans.

@Royals Why move to a shittier looking stadium though? I mean other than the bundles of cash from taxpayers trying to make ends meet.

Initial first impressions of new KC ballpark renderings. Iconic scoreboard would look better in centerfield like at Kauffman Stadium. That batter’s eye isn’t going to fly. Not too different from Kauffman overall (which is a good thing).
