I remain steadfast in my support of Ben Roberts-Smith despite news of his arrest today. Ben, his immediate and broader defence family need the Australian people’s support right now and I will not abandon him like so many other politicians. Ben was disgracefully arrested in front of his twin 15 year old girls. He will be held in jail for 7 days. He gets just one bail application. If that application fails, they can hold him for 2 years. AFP and OSI have spent $300 million dollars over 10 years to get to this point.

The AFL will now work closely with home-game clubs to declare games fully-ticketed.
Fan fury has erupted over the practice, which requires members to pay more $ on top of annual fees.
The three fully-ticketed games this year have fallen short of forecasting.
The declaration of fully-ticketed games has been the responsibility of the hosting club, but the league now getting involved.
No fully-ticketed games to come over the next fortnight.

@TimothyJ_23 I think the replies show fans are rightly concerned about fully ticketed games which require them pay $30 to upgrade. I am glad you are going well enough to be immune to cost of living pressures but Andrew Dillon this morning said the afl would review this issue

71k and 74k are outstanding crowds, particularly given the low quality / expectations on the clubs involved.
Some ticketing decisions (removing GA late in the piece) probably stopped it getting bigger but sheesh painting this as negative? 🚮

The AFL might have been spoiled with its last two round 1 attendances which were the top two attended rounds in AFL history. Just 71,384 tonight and 74,313 last night when the clubs would have hoped for 80-plus for both of them @FOXFOOTY
