Its insane that @MrBeast created a moral dilemma that any rational person immediately realizes isn't a dilemma at all, but socialists with suicidal empathy outnumber us and kill half the planet. It's actually genius. Anyone who presses the Blue button is a threat to society.

It undermines democracy because calling for the repeal of the 19th reveals that you don’t actually believe the majority of the existing electorate should get to steer politics. It is a call to change the game once the outcome has been determined by a democratic process, which is undemocratic.
It legitimizes democracy because the caller still fundamentally believes that votes should decide outcomes. They haven’t abandoned the democratic premise; they’ve just decided the voter pool is the problem.

@AlliYaff Yes, the voter pool is the problem. Picture a household with a dad, a mom, and four young children. How shall we decide what’s for dinner? As my father used to say, “one dollar, one vote”. The “Starship Troopers” model limits the franchise to those with skin in the game.

There’s almost nobody in the United States who is a true “heritage American.”
Your grandparents or great-grandparents were probably Polish or Italian or Irish immigrants.
Mine were Slovenian, Greek, and German.
The promise of America was just as much theirs as it is ours.
That’s the same promise that an immigrant receives today.
The point shouldn’t be to eliminate immigration but rather to ensure that all immigrants to the United States come here legally, work hard, share our values, and are completely committed to our Constitution.
