But in the end, he could not even open a bank account with an Australian bank because it involved oil and was against their net-zero plans. Yesterday, @KevinHoganMP , @SenMcDonald and I wrote to the banks asking them to clarify whether they would support investment in new refineries, given our clear national interest in improving fuel security. This is a test for Australian banks. Do they support our national interest or do they support net zero?
