America produces more than 20% of the world’s waste. We need to recycle more so in 20 years our country isn’t filled with landfills #apeswaste @vahsapes

Water has many different uses including hydropower. Hydropower is usually generated with dams that when being built can do a lot of damage to the ecosystem around it. @vahsapes #apeshydro

These are the solar panels at my house. We use them mainly to heat water, but also for other electrical purposes. Even though they are costly at first, they save money in the long run and are great for the environment! @vahsapes #apesenergy

Pests can become resistant to pesticides the more they are used. That means that insecticides and pesticides are only being used in higher quantities to try to kill resistant pests which can end up hurting the biodiversity near the area that is using chemicals @vahsapes #apespest

Pesticides are bad for the environment and can runoff into nearby water beds causing pollution as well as health issues to organisms. Gardens like these are beautiful even without pesticides! #apespest @vahsapes

Be careful when using too many pesticides we need to keep our soil healthy because everything living on Earth depends on the soil. #apessoil

Ponds are amongst the most diverse freshwater habitats and have been recently found to support more species, as well as more uncommon, rare, and threatened species compared to lakes, rivers, and streams. Therefore they are vital for biodiversity. #apesbio @vahsapes

Read library books to keep deforestation down! Diverse species are living in forests being cut down for many reasons, paper making being one of them. #apesbio @vahsapes
