The NHTSA has just officially announced that the 2026 @Tesla Model Y is ​the first ​vehicle model to pass ⁠the agency’s new ​advanced driver assistance ​system tests. 2026 Tesla Model Y vehicles, manufactured on or after Nov. 12, 2025, successfully met the new criteria for four newly integrated advanced safety tests: • Pedestrian automatic emergency braking • Lane keeping assistance • Blind spot warning • Blind spot intervention “Today’s announcement marks a significant step forward in our efforts to provide consumers with the most comprehensive safety ratings ever,” said NHTSA Administrator Jonathan Morrison. “By successfully passing these new tests, the 2026 Tesla Model Y demonstrates the lifesaving potential of driver assistance technologies and sets a high bar for the industry. We hope to see many more manufacturers develop vehicles that can meet these requirements.”

Tesla FSD in Europe The European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) are trying to stop FSD from getting wide approval in Europe. They have been critical of FSD for some time. ETSC have written to the EU Commission urging it to pause the process while a number of "urgent questions" are answered and the desirability of allowing such systems is discussed publicly. Meanwhile there are several question marks about ETSC and their conflict of interest. ETSC are partly financed by Toyota and Bosch, two companies that competes with Tesla in several ways.

I found something cool. Tesla has filed a new trademark application for its next-generation Roadster. It could be the new Roadster logo/badge. The filing says the lines depict speed, propulsion, heat or wind. (I took the liberty of making the logo red. Trademark filings are just black & white)

TESLA: GlobeNewswire is reporting that WattEV CEO Salim Youssefzadeh just announced an order for 370 Tesla Semis! Deliveries of the first 50 units begin in 2026, with the full fleet operational by end of 2027. Over 300 trucks will operate under a joint program with the Port of Oakland, supported by new Megawatt Charging System stations in Oakland, Fresno, Stockton, and Sacramento. This was announced at the ACT Expo in Las Vegas.

Nica Container Freight Line Inc has just ordered 20 new @Tesla Semi trucks, with the first trucks slated to be operating next year. "We want to invest in advanced technology. We're excited to grow our business with these awesome new zero emission trucks" - CEO Jacky Lopez Nica is based in Los Angeles.
