My husband and I booked a flight months in advance for our honeymoon. We booked 4A and 4C in First Class so we could talk, relax, and celebrate.
We board the plane, get to row 4, and there is already a woman sitting in my seat, 4C. My husband politely looks at her and says, "Oh, hi, sorry, I think you might be in my wife's seat."
The woman looks up, sighs dramatically, and says, "The gate agent moved her. I need this seat because of my medical condition. She's in 12D."
12D is Comfort Plus. Not First Class.
I immediately look at my phone—sure enough, the airline app had refreshed while we were walking down the jet bridge and changed my seat without a single notification or warning. My husband instantly flagged down the lead flight attendant. He explained that we paid thousands for these specific seats for our honeymoon, and I was absolutely not moving to a lower class because someone else made a last-minute demand at the gate.
The flight attendant went to speak to the woman, who instantly started crying, claiming we were "harassing" her. The flight attendant then turned to my husband and whispered, "Can't you just be a gentleman so we can take off on time?"
The sheer audacity. My husband stood his ground. "If she has a medical need for First Class, she can buy a First Class ticket. Give my wife her seat back, or get the supervisor down here right now."
They eventually moved the woman back to her original seat in coach, but for the rest of the flight, the flight attendant completely penalized us. She ignored our drink orders and literally slammed our snack baskets onto our trays. Sorry for wanting the seat we actually paid for, I guess?

@LloydCanfield @OngarSpurs His turn round is one of the most surprising I've seen. The key to the survival was the midfield of Palinha, Bentancur and Gallagher. Apart from Sunderland, the first game, they competed. De Zerbi got top performances from those 3. Inconsistent or poor before.
English

Quite sad to hear this from former Cobham boy Conor Gallagher, pleased he’s somewhat turned it around.
🗣️”I’ve not really been able to speak to anyone in this last few months.
“It’s obviously been really tough times for me and the team and I’ve just been so focused on trying to improve to help the team as much as I can.
"I was low on confidence, the last manager wasn’t having me, the fans didn’t think I was any good.”
Think it’s underrated somewhat the mental strength players have when going through poor form. #THFC #CFC

@CNN The discussion of AI and the meeting with the Pope had a contribution from Haarlem the Netherlands. The "Genocide in Gaza" was spoken of as fact. Is CNN a news outlet or an Islamist propaganda source?
English

@aziz0nomics Two Questions. 1)In the UN vote in 1947 was that land partitioned into a jigsaw. Did one side accept and the other launch a genocide attempt repeated in 1967 and 1973?
2) Under International law is territory gained in a defensive war legally retained?
Why should Israel try again?
English

@fullback03 He's from a West Ham family and Levy sacked his Dad for asking for a pay rise after getting Champions League when Levy's mother just died. Not divided loyalties. He hates Spurs and the ownership.
English

@BazettTony88772 It was a coming together!! Delap eyed up Spence as the ball was in flight and there was a coming together between Spence's jaw and Delap's fucking elbow. The cheating cunts at PGMOL weren't going to give anything. Van de Ven got a leg breaker yesterday and the foul given against!
English

@adamdnathan @allyrudd_times Her hit piece on the supporters has made me delighted I've cancelled my £30 month Times on line subscription. I got The Telegraph £29 a YEAR subscription instead. So Goodbye Rudd,Samuels and all the other hateful bastards at The Times. Go fuck yourselves!!
English

There’s a load of people who are going to get it, but @allyrudd_times, this one’s for you, you fucking dickhead
English

@sufferingspurs He's already said Spurs need to invest in new playing staff. Will the board back him finally, the way they never backed Poch, Conte or Mourinho? If they don't he'll be outta there in double quick time and then there will be an almighty explosion of resentment by the supporters.
English

The way the players speak about De Zerbi, you’d be amazed if any of them will want to leave in the summer. He’s done so much more than keep us up. He’s made the players remember the privilege they have in playing for Tottenham Hotspur. He’s made it a place you want to be. Next season has the potential to make supporting this club a pleasure for the first time in a long time. Everyone should buy in to it. COYS
English

@thespursweb Spence has become a man in the last few days. Played with his broken jaw. He's a bizarre player. Looked effective in front of Porro. How? He's a defender. This completely changed my view of his character!! He's a fighter in trumps!!
English

@WestHamPlace You probably should have stayed up. Looked like the impetus your last minute win at our place would blow us away.
English

On a level, West Ham got relegated because we weren’t good enough
Spurs stayed up because they were
There is nothing else to it
As much as it hurts, we’ll go again and be back - I’m just not sure when
A lot of my mates are Spurs fans and they’ll give it but as ever, there’s bigger things in life 👊
Funny old game innit.
English

@hashjenni Because it didn't fucking happen you vile bitch. You deserve to be raped by one of the Islamist pigs you support.
English

@Christianjw92 What do you expect? We are really lucky that there wasn't a decisive event. If there had been, we'd be down.
English

@CoysCvh @SpursOfficial @PGMOL_FA He's been appointed by the corrupt PGMOL as provocation. They want to needle the crowd & players before the game even starts. You can be 100% certain Oliver will take every opportunity to hit Spurs and favour Everton. Personally if he didn't get out alive it would be justifiable.
English

I’m extremely concerned that Oliver is today’s ref he has a history of very very wrong decisions against us he is EXTREMELY ANTI TOTTENHAM @SpursOfficial @PGMOL_FA
English

@AliyaMalik99 None of the 4. Incorrectly is the word misspelled.
English

@I_am_General3 @UtdMaI Yes. You're not paying attention.
English

@UtdMaI Spurs currently on 39, a draw takes them to 40.
West Ham on 39, a win takes them to 42.
How come they'll be finishing on same points if your projected scenario happens? Am I missing something else here?
English

@UtdMaI The sequence of tie breaks when level on points is:-
1) Goal difference.
2) Goals Scored
3) Head to head.
Tottenham have a superior goal difference and West Ham won't catch up with a win against Leeds and Tottenham draw against Everton, the only results that will give = points.
English

@CptAllenHistory There was outrage at Israel catching him and smuggling him to Israel for trial and execution. There's outrage now because Israel will execute terrorists who commit murder. In the 1930's and 1940's Jews were turned away and sent back to die. Now it's FAFO. Hate all you want!🖕🇮🇱

On This Day — May 23, 1960
In one of the most dramatic moments in Israeli history, Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion stood before the Knesset and made a stunning announcement:
“I must inform the Knesset that not long ago the security services found one of the great Nazi war criminals — Adolf Eichmann, who was responsible, along with other Nazi leaders, for what they called the ‘Final Solution’ to the Jewish problem — that is, the extermination of the six million Jews of Europe. Adolf Eichmann is already under arrest in Israel and will soon face trial in Israel.”
The man who orchestrated the logistics of the Holocaust — the trains, the ghettos, the death camps — had been hunted down by Mossad agents in Argentina and brought to justice in Jerusalem.
This was the Jewish people, just 15 years after the Holocaust, declaring to the world:
We will not be victims forever.
We will find you.
We will bring you to justice.
From the gas chambers to the defendant’s dock in Israel — that is the arc of Jewish history.
The defenseless, scattered exiles became a sovereign nation that reaches across continents to settle its accounts.
And we still do.
Am Yisrael Chai.
