@RonStoeferle Why does Euro feature on this chart right from 1971 when coins/banknotes were not issued until 1 January 2002. It never followed the gold standard (European Currency Unit was 'based' on the market rates on 31/12/1998). Spending power collapsed from the day of its inception.
