Scrolling is pure evil. An hour of brainrot doesn’t just leave a hole where something meaningful could have been but also actively degrades the machinery you’d need to fill that hole. It corrupts your capacity for sustained attention. Books become harder, conversations feel slower, your own thoughts start to bore you. Over time, the range of things that can hold your interest narrows until you’re left with a shrinking circle of stimulation that only the algorithm can satisfy. It erodes your relationship to yourself. Curiosity fades. Compassion requires a kind of patient attention that atrophies. You stop wondering what you care about because the question itself feels effortful. What’s left is a stable, “comfortable” numbness. Not only five years subtracted from your life, but a slow hollowing out of the person who would have lived them.
Justin Skycak@justinskycak

You have to understand. Spending 1 hour per day on brainrot is insane. That's about 6% of your waking day. About 5 years of your waking life. Half a decade. On brainrot. Just gone. Zero return. Zero fulfillment. Zero meaning. Zero contribution to the other parts of your life.

The Middle East NEEDS INDIA, not Pakistan, to mediate negotiations between Iran’s Islamic regime and the Trump administration. India has DEMONSTRATED SUCCESS in PEACE agreements with Bangladesh, China, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. Pakistan, by contrast, has been widely criticized for links to Islamist jihadist networks in the region in the recent past, with effects similar in some cases to Iran’s destabilizing behavior in places such as India and Afghanistan. Osama bin Laden, was found in Pakistan near a military academy, and members of al-Qaeda have operated from Iran, with some reportedly still present. What is needed is a country with a proven record in building peace and with real leverage over Iran, including economic ties such as oil trade. This negotiation risks failure because the current host lacks both the credibility and the diplomatic track record to manage such a dialogue. A state accustomed to confrontation cannot credibly lead a peace process; otherwise, it would have already resolved long-standing disputes like Kashmir. UAE BANNED THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD AS A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION, WHICH IT CONSIDERS AN IRAN PROXY IN THE WORLD. And yes, that is my opinion. And yes, unlike many places, we have the right to express it. And yes, why are 60,000 Pakistani bots online backing Iran’s Islamic regime?
