⚠️ So this is the RUMORED list of Pokémon that could get Regional Forms & Regional Evolutions or Cross-Gen Evos and/or Gen10 Gimmick forms… and I’m sorry but I keep coming back to 2 things… PLACEHOLDERS and that these would not be the only older Pokémon getting evolutions. If we are to believe the account claiming these things, when they went to go “check” the list of 307 new Pokémon for cross Gen evos, I don’t believe they looked through them all. I think they just picked the first few they saw. Which was proven when 20 mins later they hinted at the Clamperl and Nincada lines too. Also this account stressed that they are still personally uncertain if these are without a doubt the new evos or forms, AND that we are many months away from the final version so anything can be cut or swapped/change. Since this is not the final build and doesn’t have the new Pokémon in it, I wonder if some in this random batch of Pokémon are just placeholders for Pokémon that have long been decided to play a special role in WIWA. Looking at how Game Freak have chosen cross-gen evos in modern games, I just can’t see these being the ones they picked. There are so many better options related to the region and better options that are more in need of an evolution than the likes of Onix and Zweilous who already have evolutions and Megas and Paradoxes. I’ll make another post going into detail on that soon but the math ain’t mathing IMO.

To elaborate: iwark2 = Onix evo delvil2 = Houndoor evo yatoumori2 = Salandit evo monozu3 = 3rd stage evo of Deino and yes there are existing pokemon that fits all these description, so it's more likely to be a split evo of those mons.

Would like to elaborate, these codenames does not suggest an evolution for steelix or houndoom. Cross gen evo codenames are typically "pokeomn JP name + evolution stage" so "Iwark2" is actually an evolution of Onix, not an evolution of Steelix. x.com/kurwashibamast…

Reminder that I am NOT an insider. These are just fun predictions since I think Nintendo plans to really push Star Fox, like they did for Pikmin. I am just happy Star Fox is back. And I would still love to see a new classic-style game from @velanstudios in the Switch 2's life.

@AmaliaSolaris Here me out: Merge Star Fox 2 and Adventures into one game. Manage the Lylat System with random events out in space, like battlefields and missiles. But planets are more fleshed out with their own mini-campaigns and storylines. Sauria returns with a rewrite of Adventures.

A LOT has changed since 2021. The only MMO features that remained are the custom island challenges, but only 4 people can play at once. It like the co-op from SV but you have more to do instead of just seeing eachother in the overworld and not being able to interact

To add more to this, here’s how the gameplay loop for Pokémon Winds/Waves is/was planned to work: - The hotel lobby works like an MMO lobby. Reception desk is the quest board. Professor works at the hotel. - The goal of the game is to participate in Gym Adventure (ジムアドベンチャー). - There are over 100 Gym Adventures, among them 18 specially difficult Gym Adventures. - Clearing all Gym Adventures award a luxury price from the hotel - Trainers who excel at Gym Adventures may be approached by Gym Trainers or even the Champion. - The very first Gym Adventure you get is to catch a Pokémon that can learn Surf so that you can leave the first island. - Once you leave the first island the open world starts, you can go anywhere and even go straight to the final boss. - Things like catching the main legendary and battling gym leaders are optional in this game, but will give you an advantage against the final boss like in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This was the plan in the Winds/Waves concept document from 2021, so things could have undergone major changes since then. However we know MMO features are still in.
