@MatthewPTaranto Agree, it'll depend. My main worry is that, since they didn't change the stage layouts, it'll be either that all the new story elements are in cutscenes, or they'll have to cram it into the existing levels. I could see that hurting the pacing.

@TurboJehtt I think that's a fair concern. Part of it depends on the execution; I can see myself enjoying them as some down-time between stages if the tone and dialogue hit the right notes. Kid Icarus Uprising was another Nintendo rail-shooter that was enhanced from its story elements.

@RegLock53 @BehnkeRyno To be clear, I wouldn't say the official translation is particularly good here. I just think the fan translation is missing nuance, and with that nuance you could see how the official TL came to be. Also, this fan TL is a labor of love, not a machine translation.

@BehnkeRyno @TurboJehtt @MaritheKity Fan translators just have too much of a hard on for a language they don't understand the nuances of so no matter how many times the official TL is proven to be closer to the original script, they will still live and die by machine/literal TLs.

@Justin61894350 It didn't really help that sonic adventure's English script had sonic more bothered with Amy than flustered by her and had more direct negative pushback towards her, which as Amy's first big introduction to an American audience, isn't ideal

@MaritheKity The 2nd translation isn't quite capturing the nuance of しょうがないなあ. It's a thinly veiled complaint like, "if you insist (bc it's not like I can stop you)". Also he runs off right after this, and Amy says he's being mean. EN ver isn't a great TL but not totally wrong IMO.

@MaritheKity If I were writing it, it'd be along the lines of "Guess I don't have a choice."
