They will have the ability to take unsold vehicles into its robotaxi fleet - cutting unit costs by leveraging full factory output, even when demand dips. Unlike traditional automakers, Tesla can turn any excess production into a revenue stream, boosting long-term profitability. This will also help Tesla maintain better input pricing from their suppliers - as steady (and growing) orders to suppliers are more attractive than fluctuating orders - further helping Tesla drive down the cost of production per vehicle. Currently: Production = Sales to Consumers + Desired Inventory + Undesired Inventory Soon: Production = Sales to Consumers + Desired Inventory + Additions to Tesla's Robotaxi Fleet Tesla will be able to stop worrying about consumer demand and just run the factories at their optimal level. 🇨🇳CAR SALES EXPLODE IN CHINA DESPITE U.S TARIFFS China clocked a 14.8% jump in April car sales - 1.78 million vehicles sold like hotcakes, thanks to juicy government trade-in subsidies. So much for U.S tariffs denting demand - Beijing threw money at consumers, and it worked. With 6.97 million cars sold in the first 4 months of this year, China’s cruising past the U.S and Europe combined. Reminder: while Western leaders bicker, China just bought the dealership.
