@AltEliz As a follow up, the Pfìzer paediatric (under 5) vaccine is now being shipped to pharmacy distribution centres and supply in community pharmacy will ramp up over the next few days to a week.

@justjbates I believe your role has changed, but are you able to share when pharmacies will receive doses for under 5? The PHU said to check pharmacies and none of the regional ones have it/know if they’re getting it. Thank you!

@MaryFernando_ Thank you for amplifying the “why” (i.e., long-term sequelae). If more people considered what it could do to the children in their lives (who will have more exposures than they will), or to themselves, there would be more uptake in ⬇️ing impact. The why msg has been lacking.

Interestingly, the autoimmune reaction that causes T1D can be sparked by COV1D-19. Children who have recently been infected are more likely to develop diabetes than their NOVID peers. All the more reason to #CleanTheAir in schools and daycares. #DiabetesAwarenessMonth

@AltEliz Distribution to pharmacies is happening now for the Moderna & Pfìzer vaccines. Moderna is one vaccine for all from 6 months+. Pfìzer has three vaccines: 6 months-4 years, 5-11yrs and 12+. Depending on the pharmacy they may have some or all of these options.

@Ptbohealth @twpiggott Just spoke to a very helpful person at your office who told me there’s a note in your system that says the online booking system isn’t available for under 5s, yet. Thank you for having that note as the Ministry site doesn’t indicate that. Appreciate your help.

@deonandan Or going to an appointment where almost everyone is coughing & there are no masks in sight for those not wearing them. The receptionist told people as they registered that if they had a cough they needed to wear a mask & gave one. 🤯 I opened the door & was told the heat was on…

I think of this every time I go to the hospital for a specialist appointment, and I see them handing out baggy blue masks.
