The stories continue — and they are impossible to ignore. On 18 February 2025, a dam holding mining waste in Chambishi collapsed, leaving an entire community in crisis. Here at #AMI2026, Kudzwai Gokova of Pamoja Zambia is ensuring this story is not buried under corporate silence — calling for accountability for the Sino-Metals leach collapse and challenging the myth of mining as development when it leaves water toxic and communities in danger.
