The current situation is that the Ministry of Health has a month to present the path forward to the committee. We expect this to involve a final complete agreement about the law or regulation, then actually taking those steps - not just an interim report, or a recommendation!

We are grateful @KnessetENG will be holding a meeting next week about Iodine deficiency in Israel, and the need for iodized salt to address that deficiency. This is an easily fixed but urgent problem. Thank you to @nissimVaturi_23 for his leadership on this!

From the Economist this past week, on malnourishment in developed countries. Yes, one of the laggards in iodine is Russia - but Israel is among those 19 worst countries as well.
