The last thing the country needs now is for yet another ANC cadre to be deployed as South Africa’s ambassador to the USA. Roelf Meyer is an ANC cadre. A principled ambassador is needed who can engage with the USA competently in the interest of South Africa. His history shows that he is someone who is willing to dramatically reposition himself to suit his own personal interests. His becoming a member of the ANC is a prime example. His shifting between parties and his eventual alignment with the ANC do not reflect steadfastness. enca.com/news-top-stori…

OK So let me understand… what exactly is the government going to lose by allowing Starlink? 🤔 Because right now, the more they say NO, the more Elon goes on his own platform and drags them… and we all know how that ends 😅 Fighting a half-a-trillionaire on the internet… on HIS app… is like arguing with a referee who owns the stadium At some point we must decide: do we want faster, competitive in broadband, do we want to continue being undermined, monopolize by Vodacom, do we want cheaper internet… or we just enjoy losing battles publicly? 🇿🇦📡

Thousands of unemployed youth are moving from factory to factory in Midrand and Tembisa with CVs in hand hoping for work. The protest remains peaceful, but most businesses have shut their gates. So far, about 15 have secured jobs. @MongeziKoko

Julius Malema’s sentencing is set to kick off on the 15th, in the East London Magistrate court. The sentencing of the EFF, also known as the CIC is expected to occur on the 15th and 16th of April. This follows Malema’s conviction in September last year under the Firearms Control Act on five charges, including discharging a firearm in a built-up or public place without sufficient cause, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition. The EFF members and supporters gather in KuGompo to sing in support of Julius Malema.

BREAKING NEWS | Police are currently raiding a  property in Umhlanga, where an illegal call centre is allegedly being run.  It comes after an in-depth crime intelligence probe, spanning months. Members of the SAPS eThekwini District, Metro Police Special Operations Directorate, and SAPS TRT entered the property a short while ago.  They are accompanied by representatives from the banking sector.  It appears a telephonic scam was being used, where millions were siphoned out of various bank accounts.  Several people have already been arrested, including foreign nationals. Details on @eNCA #DStv403.

The Border Management Authority has achieved its latest major breakthrough by intercepting a truck trying to smuggle explosives valued at R1 million into our country at Beitbridge. These particular explosives are often used in cash-in-transit heists and illegal mining. Vigilant BMA officers became suspicious and worked with SARS to use the advanced scanning technology at Beitbridge to detect a hidden compartment containing the illicit goods. The driver was arrested after attempting to flee and further SAPS investigations are underway. Day after day, we are making our country safer by restoring the rule of law at our borders! 🇿🇦

South Africa won’t allow Starlink to be licensed, even though I was BORN THERE, simply because I am not Black! We were offered many times the opportunity to bribe our way to a license by pretending that a Black guy runs Starlink SA, but I have refused to do so on principle. Racism should not be rewarded no matter to which race it is applied. Shame on the racist politicians in South Africa. They should be shown no respect whatsoever anywhere in the world and shunned for being unashamedly RACISTS!
DogeDesigner@cb_doge

Why Elon Musk is RIGHT to fight South Africa’s racist rules blocking Starlink? Imagine this: Long ago, South Africa had very unfair laws called apartheid. They treated Black people badly and kept them from good jobs and money. When those bad laws ended, the country made new rules (called B-BBEE) to help Black people get a fair share of business. The idea was good – like a big helping hand. But now? For companies like Starlink to sell fast internet, they MUST give away 30% of their business to Black partners. Just because of skin color. Elon Musk was born in South Africa. He left as a teen to chase big dreams. Today, his company SpaceX wants to bring Starlink – super fast satellite internet – to South Africa. But the rules say no unless they give up part of the company. Elon said it right: “Starlink is not allowed because I’m not Black.” SpaceX promised to spend about $30 million (that’s 500 million rand!) to give FREE high-speed internet to 5,000 rural schools. That helps over 2.4 MILLION kids every year learn better, get jobs later, and have a brighter future. Real help for the people who need it most! Starlink already works in about 24 other African countries. Villages there now have internet for school, doctors, and business. South Africa’s villages are missing out because of these racist rules. Elon isn’t asking for special favors. He just wants fair play so Starlink can connect everyone fast. Internet = education, jobs, hope. Why hold back millions of kids over rules that pick by race and color?
