@ReadingShanahan I just completed OG training and couldn't agree with you more. Multisensory reading programs seem to teach S strategies that pull them farther and farther away from what efficent readers do naturally. We need to focus on auditory and visual reinforcement.

Every child deserves to own a book (or two, or three, or ten, or twenty...). Book ownership helps create/sustain lifelong readers. I’ve already begun gathering books for my annual summer donations, as summer is a time in which book ownership can be especially important for kids.
