The context for this whole thing is being stripped away in a bizarre way.. on a Military Reddit, Platner got defensive about people correctly pointing out the extreme amount of rape and sexual assault that happens to women in the US Military and blamed the women. Janet Mills stripped away any mention of the US Military to make it sound like Platner said all women are responsible for their own rapes. I do think the distinction is important, as many in the US Military.. INCLUDING WOMEN I’M SURE.. will do this thing where they become defensive of the institution they’re serving to the degree where they’ll excuse rape and assault and violence and just won’t believe it. In an ideal world, where it’s not just a cynical political attack.. I think Platner should go around talking to others in the US Military who would defensively deny the reality of sexual violence in the INSTITUTION.. and explain to them how he stopped denying reality

I don’t know how anyone can make fighting against racism a priority and support Israel.. it’s the clearest example of the same Apartheid that made Jim Crow and then continued in South Africa and Rhodesia… now the last bastion is Israel especially in the West Bank South Africa knew that that’s why they helped Israel get a nuke and why the ADL spied on Anti-Apartheid activists in the 70s
