We're understanding more about the damage a late diagnosis can do to mental health, confidence & self-esteem. Girls aren’t diagnosed later because of a female phenotype of autism (there isn’t one), they're missed for complex reasons such as masking and presenting internally.

So these ADHD social dilemmas seemed to resonate with a bunch of people. What else am I missing?

When I was diagnosed with ALS I was told to "bank" my voice. So I did. I read 1,800 sentences into a computer software program. This week we loaded my voice onto my eye gaze tablet. The intonation is not quite right but it's the clearest I have spoken in months. That's a win.

I just got shouted, “Go home! …You stealing jobs!” in Glasgow city centre. Problem: 1) I am home, and I love Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. 2) The person (who shouted) and I probably do not share the same vocational skills to compete for the same job. 🤷🏽‍♂️
