The best but hardest day on Tuesday when I hung up my charge nurse uniform and retired after 44 years!will miss you all. I was very lucky that I loved my job (apart from IT) ! Thanks VIv for your speech although I’m sure you broke all confidentiality rules !

@ennis_niall Crazy isn’t it? A patient’s visitor blatantly helped himself to a pile of gloves the other day and when challenged didn’t bat an eye just announced that he ‘needed them’ as he was away to get the bus home 😶

@NHS_Lothian Not only hand gel but disposable gloves were taken from our ward today 😥

Please remember our hand gel in wards are there to protect our patients, staff and visitors and are not to be removed for any reason. We would like to remind people that the most effective way of combating coronavirus (COVID-19) is through regular and thorough hand washing.
