I’ve just finished marching on the Palestine demonstration & have come to Parliament Square where people are being arrested for peacefully protesting against the proscription of Palestine Action. It’s a disgrace that people are being arrested for upholding our democratic rights.

What an utter absurdity our Home Secretary has created - Destroying British free speech, right to protest and with it undermining democracy. It is not for the government to terrorise the public for political opinions they don’t want to hear.

Rallies organised by well known far right fascists at which attendees are violent and openly sieg heil - is fine apparently. Yet, disabled pensioners opposing war crimes and mass starvation, are arrested as terrorists. The priorities of this government are absolutely fucked.

When I was young and naive I thought terrorism looks like someone detonating a car bomb or crashing planes into skyscrapers. Now that I'm mature and educated I know that terrorism actually looks like an old lady holding a sign saying people should be allowed to oppose genocide.

Oh the things you learn. 1. 21 managers at @thameswater were paid a bonus back in April out of an emergency fund supposed to be used to keep the company running. The same managers are also due to get another bonus in December this year and June next year. 2. The Secretary of State admits that govt's new so called getting tough on water companies bullish*t bonus scheme only relates to "performance-related executive pay", and is therefore a dud. What a shambles.
