CST welcomes today’s arrests and thanks the @metpoliceuk for their swift work following the shocking arson attack on four Hatzola ambulances in Golders Green. We are grateful to the officers who have worked tirelessly to find those accountable.
While this development is an important step forward, we know the community will understandably remain concerned. Police security measures and CST’s own security operations will therefore remain at their current high level, with continued strong cooperation between CST and the police to protect our community.

In the wake of the shocking attack on @Hatzola (a voluntary community ambulance provision) in North London, @Ldn_Ambulance is developing a package of practical support. We are in touch with clinical leaders in the Hatzola team. A more detailed statement will follow.

The antisemitic arson attack against Hatzola ambulances in Golders Green has obvious comparison to similar recent attacks in Belgium and the Netherlands. No injuries have been reported at this time and we are helping @MPSBarnet with their enquiries. CST thanks all those who responded from 999 emergency agencies; and @shomrimlondon , @Hatzola and our own CST volunteers.

We welcome the Home Secretary’s decision to ban this year’s Al Quds march. Previous marches have been marked by hate, serious public disorder, multiple antisemitic incidents and open support for proscribed groups.

Today, President Phil Rosenberg met with newly elected Vice President Karen Newman and appointed her Chair of the Security, Resilience and Cohesion Division.
The Division focuses on the fight against antisemitism, the defence of our religious freedoms, and promoting good relations with different faith and belief groups.

The 🇮🇱 flag was included in the London Eye New Year’s display. The Star of David wasn’t removed. The flags were small, animated and part of a sequence forming the Union Flag. Visibility issues affected several blue & white flags, not Israel alone. No evidence this was antisemitic

We are devastated to hear reports of a shooting attack at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, with multiple fatalities at a Jewish Hanukkah event.
While details emerge, we have been in touch with our Australian partners at the Executive Council of Australian Jewry to express our solidarity and offer our support.
We have also been in touch with the UK Government, who are monitoring the situation closely, to discuss the UK response.
The scourges of terrorism and antisemitism are shared, international challenges and need concerted and determined action to defeat them.
