@AmandaMWrites Hello, Amanda. What a raw, grin-inducing photograph! If you don't mind me asking, what do you mean by, if you're not there yet and you'd like to be?

Reminder I’m over in the blue place -@amandamwrites.bsky.social - if you’re not there yet, and you’d like to be, I might be able to help… Also here’re some flowers. #NatureWriting

Y’all. The world is dark. Tell me something good—something you’ve achieved, something that’s happened to you, something that brings you JOY. Flood the comments with happiness. I’ll start. My dogs and cat adore each other and cuddle every day. #JoyIsAnActOfResistance #MoreJoy

translation models--but above all, wouldn't it be something to dive into the ocean and talk with the whales, those magnificent memory-keepers of the sea? #AmReading #WhatAmandaRead 2/2

#TodayIRead 'How to Speak Whale' by @tommustill. Absolutely fascinating exploration of animal communication and the potential for humans to understand and converse with the creatures with whom we share the planet. Lots of science, and dives into the potential of Al to develop 1/2

#TodayIRead 'Horse' by @GeraldineBrooks . Geraldine does the most fascinating work weaving fiction using fact-her earlier 'Year of Wonders' was my first introduction to her writing. This, spread across three timelines and leaping into the world of horse racing and equestrian 1/2

#Today|Read 'Dear Life' by Alice Munro. I've previously found her characters difficult, but in this collection I found a few people to cheer for. It's said Alice writes like the Russian greats, but there's something about her writing that I like a lot more.

#TodayIRead 'The Night Guest' by Fiona McFarlane. Perfect dark undertone research for a project I'm working on later this year. Great buildup too—I had suspicions but then that one line and BANG. #AmReading #WhatAmandaRead

I’d been wanting to do this for ages. Art made in situ, using living specimens without removing them. Art that’s so much a part of the environment it’s generated from. These cyanotypes were made along the banks of Ginninderra Creek, using plants and creek water and sunlight. 1/2

#TodaylRead 'The Salt Path' by @raynor.winn. Extraordinary. Just extraordinary. A story of self discovery, of how we can recreate ourselves in the face of crushing adversity, and of the power of nature to heal. Ray and Moth, you are inspiring. I salute you.
