A client of ours bought a house (RDP) from someone last year however he was given the run around only to find out the house was sold to someone else as well. Our client bought it for R360k while the other person bought it fro R450k. He asked for our intervention in Dec 2023. Today we met with him, the suspect and went to the lawyers that were helping with the deal, they were honest to say they still have the money and should the client want it back they are happy to give it back, we then went to the second lawyers who facilitated for the other sale they also did everything by the book. They opted to give the money back to the person who paid R450k and our client will then get the house. A case of almost screaming was done successfully. Let's work

Trying to apply copyright laws would not effectively protect a celebrity like Taylor Swift, or a member of the public, from deepfake image-based sexual abuse as these laws weren't designed to give this sort of protection.
