There's nothing I may want to say about Nigeria today that I had not said at least 3 times between 2018 & 2024—from the scam it is as a country to the fraudulent decree Nr 24 of 1999 aka the Constitution, from the quadriennal distraction we call elections to our fake religiosity.

Leadership Without Compassion is Not Leadership During his visit to Benue State in June 2025, Bola Ahmed Tinubu stopped at the Government House but did not go to the actual scene where innocent Nigerians lost their lives. Similarly, yesterday in Jos, his engagement ended at the airport instead of at the affected communities. What happened in Plateau yesterday highlights a complete absence of leadership. True leadership requires presence, empathy, compassion, and a willingness to meet people where their pain truly lies. For citizens who have just lost loved ones, homes, and their sense of safety, being addressed from an airport tarmac is profoundly inadequate. This approach exacerbates the sense of abandonment already felt by innocent Nigerians who have endured repeated cycles of violence without meaningful protection or justice. Plateau deserves more than distant words; it requires urgent action and a clear commitment to ending the insecurity that continues to claim innocent lives. In such moments, leadership must not only be visible but also tangible—standing with victims, listening to survivors, and acknowledging the depth of their grief. If we truly desire a better Nigeria, we must demand leadership that is present, responsive, and responsible at all times. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

My goodness! 💔💔😭 This is no longer a case of crass wickedness & insensitivity, this man is probably not even aware of his own existence. Like how! All he knows how to rig elections & steal commonwealth. I feel so sad for that poor woman. She endured this, again. 😭

"You have no light at the airport, and I have to fly back within the next 10 minutes... To the victims, there's nothing I can give you but promise you this experience will not repeat itself." Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu says that his government will do its best to support the victims.

In 1930, rural Virginia, a Black girl born into sharecropping poverty wasn't supposed to leave the tobacco fields. But Gladys Mae Brown had other plans.... Her hands picked crops. Her mind solved equations no one asked her to solve. Her parents, despite barely scraping by, made a choice that defied every expectation placed on them. They kept her in school. She became valedictorian at a segregated high school with torn textbooks and broken windows. She earned a scholarship to Virginia State College in an era when being Black, female, and intellectually brilliant meant the world tried to crush you three different ways. In 1956, she walked through the doors of the Naval Proving Ground in Dahlgren as the second Black woman they'd ever hired. Four Black employees. Hundreds of white men. Most didn't think she'd survive the week. They were catastrophically wrong. Gladys calculated weapons trajectories by hand. Complex differential equations that consumed hours of meticulous work. Her accuracy became legendary. When computers arrived, she didn't resist the future. She learned Fortran. She mastered programming languages. She transformed weeks of calculations into hours. Then came Seasat in the 1970s. The first satellite studying Earth's oceans from orbit. She became project manager. But her true contribution remained hidden in the mathematics. For GPS to function, you need Earth's exact shape. Not close. Exact. Earth isn't a smooth sphere. It's an asymmetrical, gravity-distorted, irregular mass of mountains and ocean trenches. Gladys spent years constructing mathematical models describing every deviation, every curve, every gravitational anomaly of our planet's true form. She analyzed satellite data. She built geoid models. Tedious, invisible, revolutionary work. That mathematics became the foundation of GPS. Every navigation app. Every emergency rescue. Every autonomous vehicle. Every precision farming system. Her equations make it possible. Forty-two years at Dahlgren. Retirement in 1998. GPS fully operational worldwide. Billions of users. Almost nobody knew her name. She raised three children. Earned her PhD at seventy after surviving a stroke. Lived quietly. Until 2018, when someone at a sorority event read her biography aloud. The room went silent. The story exploded. At eighty-eight, Gladys West was inducted into the Air Force Space and Missile Pioneers Hall of Fame. The world finally learned her name. She mapped the entire planet. Then everyone forgot. Until they remembered. Gladys West worked alongside her husband Ira West, who was also a mathematician at the Naval Proving Ground. They met at Dahlgren and built both a family and parallel careers in an environment that actively discriminated against them. After retirement, she didn't stop. She earned her PhD from Virginia Tech at age 70, proving that intellectual curiosity doesn't have an expiration date. The GPS system relies on something called the geoid, a mathematical model of Earth's shape that accounts for gravitational variations. Gladys West's calculations helped create these models by analyzing millions of data points from satellite altimetry. Without accurate geoid models, GPS coordinates would be off by hundreds of meters, making the technology essentially useless. Her story remained hidden partly because classified military work doesn't generate headlines. Many pioneers of satellite and navigation technology worked in obscurity for national security reasons. The sorority member who recognized her contribution was reading through Alpha Kappa Alpha biographies when she noticed the GPS connection and brought it to public attention. © Women Stories #drthehistories

A CALL TO SAVE NIGERIA: NATIONWIDE PROTEST TO DEFEND NIGERIA’S DEMOCRACY #OccupyINEC #SaveNigeria 2nd April, 2026 Issued by: Obidient Movement There are moments in the life of a nation when silence becomes dangerous and inaction becomes complicity. Nigeria has arrived at such a moment. Across the country, there is a growing sense that the foundations of our democracy are being tested. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which should stand as an impartial guardian of the people’s will, is increasingly perceived as compromised under the present administration. At the same time, opposition voices appear to be under pressure in ways that raise serious concerns about the future of Nigeria’s multi-party democracy. When institutions lose credibility, the will of the people is endangered. And when that happens, citizens have a duty to act. The Obidient Movement remains committed to a Nigeria where institutions are strong, elections are credible, and leadership reflects the true choice of the people. It is from this position of responsibility that we state clearly that urgent corrective action is required to restore confidence in the electoral system and protect the integrity of our democracy. Our Demands The resignation of the INEC Chairman for gross abuse of office, loss of public trust, and failure to uphold the neutrality required of that office. An immediate end to political persecution, including all forms of intimidation, harassment, and targeting of opposition voices. The protection of Nigeria’s multi-party democracy, with a halt to all actions that undermine opposition parties. Full respect for party autonomy, ensuring that the internal leadership and integrity of political parties, including ADC, are not interfered with. In defence of these principles, we are commencing a nationwide peaceful protest, #OccupyINEC, starting immediately across all states and the Federal Capital Territory. This is a call to action grounded not in anger, but in duty — a collective effort to safeguard the democratic future of our country. In Abuja, participants will converge at the ADC National Headquarters. The date and time will be announced accordingly, from where a peaceful march will proceed to the INEC Headquarters. Across the nation, Obidients and all well-meaning Nigerians are encouraged to organise, mobilise, and participate in a coordinated and disciplined manner. This moment goes beyond party lines. It is about the survival of democratic values and the protection of the Nigerian state itself. We will remain peaceful, we will remain lawful, but we will not stand by while our democracy is weakened. Nigeria must not become a one-party state. We will stand, firmly and collectively, until what is right is done. A New Nigeria is Possible — but only if we defend it. Signed Obidient Movement

A few weeks ago someone gave my husband moose meat (Yeah google moose to see what the animal looks like). Man brought it home and said we should try it. I told him there was no way my Nigerian tongue would caught near moose meat. My husband decided to make stew with it. When he started frying it, I nearly puked. It had this distinct flavour that was so alien For days I did not even want to use the same pot to cook. So we just dumped it in the freezer. Oga kept begging me to cook moose meat. I said “nahhh fam” Weirdly, my husband loved it and kept cooking it for himself. Another time he made stew and put his moose in one corner of the pot while I ate my regular chicken. One tiny piece of moose found it’s way on top my rice. This time, it did not taste or smell as bad Another time, another piece of moose entered my plate. Not only did it not taste bad, it actually tasted beefy to me My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, guess who went to the freezer to use the remaining moose to make stew some days ago? Yup, me! And this is my way of reminding you dear child of God that when you keep allowing things that you know don’t please God around you, you’ll be amazed at how much you can adjust to start doing things you swore you would never do Like me, you can go from being nauseated by moose meat one day and using it to make stew the next. The command is to “flee” Not adjust Not tolerate Not say cook your own one side and let me cook on the other side The Bible says flee Your no stronger than Samson o Blessings!

History is full of more viciously corrupt dictators & extractive systems that have been defeated by the oppressed people than Tinubu & APC, in Africa & around the world. But I've never seen a crude dictatorship as currently Nigeria, and people still pretend to be in a democracy.

On the town hall public hearing organized by Nigerian civil society, ADC Chairman asked me to represent him personally. I attended and told Professor Joas Amupitan in his face that his words shows he does not deserve any trust. That his INEC may be the worst. I have gone ahead on TV to say the 2027 will be the worst election in Nigeria’s history because of Tinubu’s APC and INEC. My name is Sam Amadi, I am a lawyer with a rich social science analytics. Prepare for a terrible, chaotic and grossly rigged 2027 election. I can bet on this

My dear Nigerians, Today, April 2nd, is World Autism Awareness Day, a time to recognize and celebrate individuals on the autism spectrum. Autism is not a limitation; rather, it is a different way of experiencing the world. On April 4th, I will lend my voice in support of the 7KM Autism Awareness Walk taking place at Monolisa Park, R.B. Dikko Road, Central Business District, Abuja, alongside the Ria By Maria Autism Foundation team (@rbm_foundation). This initiative serves as a timely reminder that nation-building is not solely about infrastructure and economics; it is also about how we care for the most vulnerable among us. Promoting autism awareness, ensuring early diagnosis, and creating inclusive support systems are essential for building a compassionate and productive society. I commend the organizers for their commitment to advocacy and meaningful community impact. I encourage residents of Abuja and beyond to participate, support, and amplify this important cause. A better nation is possible when we leave no one behind. -PO

The travails of the ADC is part of the 2027 Grand Plan. The "election" is being rigged "live & direct", but Nigerians are too lethargic to revolt. For less than this, the Senegalese Opposition mobilzed citizens into the streets in 2023/2024. But here, ADC is issuing statements.
Queen Fatima (First Lady™) || أميرة المملكة الوسطى@AmazingEleojo

Again: what is it that Nigerians would do after the "elections" have again been obscenely rigged in 2027 (as it surely will be) that they can't start doing now that the machinery of that rigging is so clearly being laid out? Where is this confidence of #RigandDie coming from? 🤔

Peter Obi's only obstacle to Aso Rock was and remains INEC and the Judiciary. Anything apart from how the masses will counter that double scourge is a distraction. PO still has the electorate locked in his favour and needs no "alliance" to win again in any free and fair election.

We battled these demons for 10 months. We organised, fundraised, rallied & campaigned, We neutralised their criminal "strategy & structure" & rubbished them at the polls. Why do we seem afraid at the most critical hour? They've hijacked even the Judiciary but we have ourselves!

About Peter Obi (1) Today, I start a series about my encounter with @PeterObi to illustrate his excellent qualities I consider critical for transformative leadership. I am a good judge of leadership character. The week Ken Nnamani was to become Senate President I argued in a Thisday article that Ken would be great because he is a man who reads books and always asks after ideas. I used to buy him books as Harvard student and we discuss those ideas. I know that learning and leading go together. I became his special adviser and we pulled a great success at the Senate. The same with Peter Obi. He respects ideas and loves to seek it. Once he entered my office, and quickly went to the book shelf to pick up “Why Nations Fail’. Another day we were discussing why Nigeria and Indonesia are growing apart and I told him about the book of the same title by Peter Lewis. He said he was going to meet Peter Lewis and asked for the book to read. He came back with better understanding of the ideas. If you seek ideas then you can lead better. I made that bet with Ken Nnamani and he was excellent. I make the bet again. Peter Obi will be excellent as Nigerian president.
