Two years ago, on Simchat Torah, they were torn from their families. Today, on Simchat Torah, they are finally home. Back in the arms of their loved ones — a true full circle of joy and hope. Welcome home 🇮🇱✨

At the Nova Festival on October 7th, 2023, thousands came together to dance, celebrate, and live in freedom. Jihadi Hamas turned joy into horror - murdering, raping, and kidnapping young people whose only “crime” was dancing under the open sky. Life vs. death. Freedom vs. terror. Whose side are you on?

Hamas praises outgoing Dutch Foreign Minister @CasparVeldkamp, the initiator of sanctions against Israel in the European Union. Just as it praised Macron and his partners for recognizing a “Palestinian state” – a move Hamas classified as “the fruits of October 7.” Europe must choose: Israel or Hamas. Every action against Israel directly serves the jihadist axis in the Middle East.

Vandaag 11 jaar geleden. Lieve pap, we missen je nog steeds 💔

Early this morning, the entrance to the Israeli embassy in The Hague was, smashed and defaced with red paint. This cowardly act is yet another illustration of the dangerous consequences of rising hatred and incitement. Diplomats must be able to carry out their work safely and unhindered at all times. The police have arrested suspects. We are confident that the Dutch authorities will take all necessary measures to prevent such attacks in the future.

As my term as Ambassador to the Netherlands is coming to an end, I had a pleasant farewell breakfast with @geertwilderspvv. I thanked him for his ongoing support and clear voice for Israel, especially during these difficult times when we face so much hatred.

Just had a conversation by 📞 with Israeli PM Bibi @netanyahu and I told him that besides criticism from weak politicians and biased media, there are millions and millions of people in Europe supporting him and his brave actions to free both Israel and Gaza from the terrorists of Hamas. His fight is our fight since we cherish life and freedom while they love death and destruction. #AmIsraelChai

The silent majority in the Netherlands speaks out: do not reward Hamas terrorism. Stand for Israel and the release of the hostages. A call for moral clarity in today's Telegraaf newspaper #laatisraelnietvallen

Minister of Foreign Affairs @gidonsaar Statement to the Press at the UN Ahead of the Special Security Council Meeting He Initiated on the Issue of the Hostages: “The world has been turned upside down. There are countries that acted - also in this building - to pressure Israel instead of Hamas, during sensitive days in the negotiations. They directly assassinated the hostage deal and ceasefire.”

Tal Shoham, former hostage in Palestinian Hamas captivity, reacts to the released video of Evyatar David. Hamas starves and tortures the Israeli hostages on purpose, while they feast on the aid they steal from Gazans. Tal knows those tunnels. He knows the hunger. He’s seen that darkness firsthand, but Evyatar is still there. LET THEM GO NOW! 🎗️🎗️🎗️

Look at the arms of Evyatar David — an Israeli hostage, starved to the edge of collapse. Now look at the arm of his Palestinian Hamas captor — strong, well-fed, offering a can for show. So who’s really being starved in Gaza? @nytimes @BBC @CNN @Daily_Express

Major media outlets have become the propaganda arm of Hamas. They publish dramatic images without context, amplify distortions that vilify Israel, and then quietly issue corrections but only after the damage is done. This isn’t journalism. It’s propaganda, dressed up with a press badge. It fuels hate, incites violence, and spreads deception around the world. Stop echoing Hamas’ propaganda!

During my meeting with Minister Veldkamp, I reminded him of the 50 hostages that are still kept by Hamas in Gaza under horrific conditions. Pressure is needed on Hamas. These measures by the Netherlands against Israel will only embolden Hamas in its refusal to agree to a ceasefire and the release the hostages. I relayed to Minister Veldkamp the disappointment of Israel that the Netherlands is taking measures against a friendly country in the midst of its war against terror. The obsession and hatred against Israel is leading to unprecedented levels of antisemitism in the Netherlands. These measures against Israel further fuel the tensions.

The Dutch government is making a historic mistake with the measures announced against Israel. Israel is always open to constructive dialogue but the recent positions do not contribute towards this. The government seems to have forgotten how this war started. Israel did not choose this war. It was Hamas that invaded Israel on October 7th and tortured, raped, and murdered more than 1,200 people. The Palestinian terrorist organization still holds 50 Israelis hostage under unimaginable circumstances. The war could be over today if Hamas surrenders, lays down its arms, and releases the hostages. Hamas has to this day repeatedly rejected proposals for a ceasefire and the release of the hostages, most recently last week when there was a real opportunity to end the suffering. Over the past few days Israel implemented major steps to strengthen and upgrade the humanitarian response in Gaza to protect civilian lives and allow the delivery of aid through designated corridors, airdrops, and expanded humanitarian zones and pauses. The government of the Netherlands has chosen once again to take severe measures against Israel. While rightly noting Israel’s right for self-defense, these actions have the opposite effect, emboldening Hamas, and leading them to harden its position, making a ceasefire less likely.

Sorry Prime Minister, with all due respect- this tweet does not reflect the spirit and details of the call. Nor does it reflect my crystal clear position that it will be a HUGE mistake if EU takes such steps especially in light of Israel’s ongoing and upgraded humanitarian efforts.I am especially saddened that the plight of our hostages and the demand for their immediate release are not even mentioned!

🚛Over 120 trucks were collected and distributed yesterday by the UN and international organizations. 🚛An additional 180 trucks entered Gaza and are now awaiting collection and distribution, along with hundreds of others still queued for UN pickup. More consistent collection and distribution by UN agencies and international organizations = more aid reaching those who need it most in Gaza.

Tomorrow morning Israel will apply a "humanitarian pause" in civilian centers and in humanitarian corridors to enable the distribution of aid supply. Israel has continued to facilitate the entry of aid trucks into the Gaza strip. Unfortunately, the UN has failed so far to collect and distribute the large amount of aid trucks that are stored in designated areas inside of the Gaza strip. Now it is expected of the UN to collect and distribute the large quantities of aid, without any further delay or excuses. Israel rejects the false accusations of "starvation" propaganda initiated by Hamas which manipulates pictures of children suffering from terminal diseases. It is shameful.
