I was rounding with my team recently and you were our new patient. A student had presented your case at the bedside. You listened intently and offered corrections where needed. After examining you, I paused and twisted my mouth under my mask.

4 years ago today I lost part of my heart when my brother died to mental illness. I wish he was here today to celebrate me joining the HCPC and becoming an official SLT. Not a day goes by where I don’t think about him. Please reach out if you’re hurting #suicideawareness

#mySLTday Today I openly asked for help and said the words out-loud ‘I’m not sure what I’m doing’. My wonderful colleagues reached out & were SO generous with their time. It’s really empowering & gave us all an opportunity to be open & honest. Be brave and do it 😁 #NQSLT #NQP
