Dad Gets Life for Shooting Newborn Twice in the Head. Logan Kruckenberg Anderson, now 21, was 16 years old back in January 2021 when his then-14-year-old girlfriend gave birth to their baby girl, named Harper, in a bathtub at home in Albany, Wisconsin. The couple had kept the pregnancy hidden from everyone. According to court details and reports from local outlet WMTV, days after the birth on January 5, Kruckenberg Anderson allegedly took the naked newborn into the woods near their home. He placed her inside a fallen tree, covered her body with snow intending for her to die from the cold, and walked away. When he heard her crying as he left, he came back and shot her twice in the head. The baby's body was discovered after the girlfriend's father called 911 because he hadn't seen the infant for days. Kruckenberg Anderson confessed to police about the events, including his plan to let her die from exposure and then returning to shoot her. After a trial in Green County Circuit Court, a jury convicted him on November 5, 2025, of both counts following about two hours of deliberation. Anderson was sentenced to life in prison.

NEW: 6-year-old boy fatally struck while playing with ball in Frayser street; driver arrested A 6-year-old boy was fatally struck Thursday afternoon on Signal Street and Whitney Avenue in Memphis’ Frayser neighborhood. The child was playing with a ball in the westbound lane of Whitney Avenue when Kenyunte W. Goss struck him with her Chrysler 200. Goss remained at the scene. Goss has been arrested and charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility. She is being held on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
