આજરોજ, પોલીસ કમિશનર શ્રી જી.એસ. માલિકનાઓની અધ્યક્ષ સ્થાને અમદાવાદ શહેર પોલીસ કમિશ્નરેટ ની ક્રાઈમ કોન્ફરન્સનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું. અમદાવાદ શહેરના તમામ પોલીસ ઇન્સ્પેક્ટરશ્રી તેમજ તેમનાથી ઉપરના દરજ્જાના તમામ અધિકારી ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા. પોલીસ કમિશ્નરશ્રીએ, અમદાવાદ શહેરના કાયદો અને વ્યવસ્થાપન અંગેની સ્થિતિની સમીક્ષા કરી, સાઇબર ક્રાઇમ અંગેની ગુનેગારો દ્વારા આચરવામાં આવતી વિવિધ પદ્ધતિઓ અંગે જરુરી તપાસ થાય તે અંગે ચર્ચા કરવામાં આવી, બાળકો અને મહિલાઓ અને સિનિયર સિટીઝનમાં આધુનિક યુગ માં થતા ગુનાઓ અંગે જાગૃતતા આવે તે માટે સ્થાનિક સ્તરે સંવેદનશીલ રીતે કામગીરી કરવા ઉપર ભાર મુકવામાં આવ્યો. યુવાનોમાં ડ્રગ્સનું દુષણ નાથવા માટે અસરકારક કામગીરી કરવા સુચના આપવામાં આવી. આગામી સમયમાં શહેરના પોલીસ ટ્રાફિક સમસ્યા અને સાઇબર ફ્રોડ સામે વધુ સજ્જ બને અને અસરકારક કામગીરી થાય તે માટે જરુરી માર્ગદર્શન આપવામાં આવ્યું. આગામી દિવસોમાં યોજાનાર SSC/HSC પરીક્ષા બંદોબસ્ત અંગે, ક્રિકેટ મેચ બંદોબસ્ત અંગે તથા હોળી - ધુળેટી બંદોબસ્ત આયોજન અંગે જરુરી સમીક્ષા કરી. *સુરક્ષા માટે સજ્જ શહેર પોલીસ* @sanghaviharsh @GujaratPolice @dgpgujarat #AhmedabadPolice

AMC allocated ₹1 crore for a Light Rail feasibility study in Amdavad, but at the same time flyovers are being pushed on the very corridors where surface transit could run. If we are serious about long term, people centric mobility, potential LRT routes should be protected until the study is completed and published. Once concrete flyovers lock the geometry, future transit becomes costlier and complicated.
