@Amer0992 @markgurman There is no timeline. Maybe in 2029, when we will get a new Commission, who might be less insane than the current EU regulators.

The important details: - Siri AI for developers in English today; all users later this year in beta. - Siri AI is NOT yet coming to the EU given the regulatory issues there. - Siri AI and new Apple Intelligence features are also not yet coming to China for similar reasons.

I'm also gonna go ahead and guess that this first version of Siri AI will not let me change default apps. Like adding things to Google calendar instead of Apple calendar. Or sending Whatsapp messages instead of iMessages. Or Navigating with Google Maps instead of Apple Maps. I'd like to be wrong though.

@MKBHD I’m a big fan of Apple, but making users give up a device that’s only one year old just to use Siri AI is painful. I’m talking specifically about owners of the regular iPhone 17.
