@anon_opin The problem is mass media & right wing politicians appealing to, and directly targeting those first 2/3rds of the population. They will continue to be the majority until society at large sways more toward human decency and compassion.

Worked with the general public for 40 years and I can confidently assert that 1/3 of people are as thick as shit, 1/3 are nasty pieces of work and 1/3 half sensible and decent. The problem isn't politicians, twitter or right wing newspapers. The problem is people.
