@detectmagicdice These are lovely. I want to call them something like "Mists of Mirkwood".

Something Something Lord Of The Rings Name
Sometimes I love naming dice, and sometimes I just want to brainlessly share photos. Guess which it is today?

@surfacage You may test that assumption at your convenience.
Alternatively, please see the attached (email, SOP, contact, etc) that explains why your course of action is not recommended.

@melisscaru Tara K. Harper's Wolkwalker books were some of my first mature SFF and it plays in both of those genres.

@Persephiroth The next one I want to play, who is an older single mom who retired from adventuring as a ranger to raise her son and is feeling the wanderlust creep back in since he's old enough to run the tavern himself while she's gone.

@BostonExpat412 @ksader @MagusFirebeard @JortsTheCat Yep. Watched it explode in real time. Now, it's my entire twitter feed.
English

@MCFS581 @ksader @MagusFirebeard @JortsTheCat Apparently not? It feels like the comment, while not the nicest, was taken way out of context and now people are just being nasty.
English

@Amitybadger @ksader @MagusFirebeard @JortsTheCat It doesn't matter that it was addressed to an apparently able bodied person?
English

@simcha1972 @ksader @MagusFirebeard @JortsTheCat I tend to agree with you. I understand why it's a hurtful phrase to the disabled folk, but it feels like it got taken way out of context and spiraled out of control.
English

@Amitybadger @ksader @MagusFirebeard @JortsTheCat It was a flip statement said to someone who had demonstrated an ability to drive to the store and walk in herself. Does that mean she wasn't disabled and using the services becaus of that? Not at all. But it still doesn't seem worth all.....this.
English

@ksader @MagusFirebeard @JortsTheCat Though the idea Jorts was likely trying to convey was "hate the system, not the abused and under-supported worker" it is a phrase many disabled folk hear to dismiss their issues.
English

@ksader @MagusFirebeard @JortsTheCat Jorts responded to a tweet about incompetent instacart shoppers with "go get your own groceries", which is considered an ableist dog whistle because many disabled folk CAN'T get their own groceries and rely on services like that.

@Persephiroth You should not feel like you need to apologize for any of this. It's your body and journey. You are not beholden to us, even if we did help get you there. That's just what community is supposed to be.
