After childbirth, a woman doesn’t just “bleed a little” the uterus is essentially shedding a whole temporary organ called the placenta site, and the open blood vessels left behind are roughly the size of dinner plates. That’s why postpartum bleeding can last weeks your body is literally rebuilding the wall of a house it just tore down to get the baby out. 😳

New parents in the UK, is it better to shop for baby items at COSTCO or at Lidl? Or better still, where did you buy baby items? I’m looking to buy items for 0-6 months. I’m asking for myself please.

@Hamm6767 @Angel_phase Is not about her marrying Daniel (they are both adult), is about joining in taking the child from her mother. If she's unfit mother we hear, but that is not the case here. When Jaiye die (her husband then), they did not take her daughters from her.

I know this may be difficult to believe but when I had all my 3kids, I could produce the entire stash in this freezer in 2days max. It’s actually one the reasons I’m scared of going through another pregnancy and birth process. I start using breast pad from 34weeks of pregnancy because that’s when I start dripping, the first month after birth has me wearing minimum of 4 clothes a day because they are always wet. A nurse at Federal Medical center Abuja once told me after the birth of my second child that I could have been making good money from my blessings if I was abroad and I asked if I could give it out to people for free, she said Nigerians aren’t that exposed and open minded, no one will take it.

A freezer full of breast milk produced by a nursing mother wow How is she able to produce this much milk?

As a woman in film, it wasn’t easy getting to where I am today. It took hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Staying true to my craft, embracing my originality, and carving a niche for myself paved the way Huge thanks to everyone supporting Behind the Scenes, still showing in cinemas nationwide! Also showing in the UK, US and CANADA. Click link in Bio for my info. #funkeakindele #womancrushwednesday #behindthescenesthemovie

I don’t talk about this often. A few years into our marriage, my wife fell seriously ill. Doctors said she needed a kidney transplant urgently, and later, part of a liver too. To them it was “medical options.” To me, it was simple. I didn’t pray to ask if I should do it. I prayed that God would make me eligible. When they told me I was a match, I felt relief..not fear. Signing those papers felt lighter than signing our marriage certificate, because this time I wasn’t promising with words, I was promising with flesh 😅. The surgeries were hard. Recovery was harder. There were nights I couldn’t stand straight, days I questioned my strength. But every time I saw her breathe better, laugh again, regain life …my body felt small compared to the joy. She still apologizes sometimes. I still remind her: I didn’t give you organs. I gave you time. ❤️ Marriage isn’t flowers, aesthetics, or online quotes. Sometimes it’s choosing pain so the person you love can live. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t hesitate. That’s my wife. That’s my marriage. ❤️

@RenewedScam @MikeOshadami @DrJoeAbah Actually here in UK, most times you don't get medication, you hear things like "take enough rest", " you will be fine in few days, if not come back", " take pcm".

A private hospital in Abuja said I needed surgery and was trying to pressure me to do it with them immediately. I wasn’t sure and my family wasn’t comfortable. My Madam reminded me that in the UK, there is a mandatory cooling off period of 14 days between when you are told that you need surgery and when you actually have it, unless it’s a life-threatening emergency. The cooling off period enables you to decide whether you want to go ahead with it or not. The surgeon asked me whether I was afraid of him and I said No, it’s the anaesthetist I am afraid of. He asked why and I said that I had just heard too many stories. To the obvious disappointment of his clinic manager who had already started to process HMO approvals, I decided to get other opinions. Getting a second opinion elsewhere and a third opinion abroad, it turned out that I didn’t need any surgery at all. Na waa!
ARISE NEWS@ARISEtv

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who recently lost her 21-month-old son, has released a statement detailing the circumstances surrounding his death. ARISE News reached out to Adichie’s media team, who confirmed that she did author the statement. According to her representatives, the message was originally sent privately to family members and a few close friends. "My son would be alive today if not for an incident at Euracare Hospital on January 6th. We were in Lagos for Christmas. Nkanu had what we first thought was just a cold, but soon turned into a very serious infection and he was admitted to Atlantis hospital. He was to travel to the US the next day, January 7th, accompanied by Travelling Doctors. A team at Johns Hopkins was waiting to receive him in Baltimore. The Hopkins team had asked for a lumbar puncture test and an MRI. The Nigerian team had also decided to put in a 'central line' (used to administer iv medications) in preparation for Nkanu's flight. Atlantis hospital referred us to Euracare Hospital, which was said to be the best place to have the procedures done. The morning of the 6th, we left Atlantis hospital for Euracare, Nkanu carried in his father's arms. We were told he would need to be sedated to prevent him from moving during the MRI and the 'central line' procedure. I was waiting just outside the theater. I saw people, including Dr M, rushing into the theater and immediately knew something had happened. A short time later, Dr M came out and told me Nkanu had been given too much propofol by the anesthesiologist, had become unresponsive and was quickly resuscitated. But suddenly Nkanu was on a ventilator, he was intubated and placed in the ICU. The next thing I heard was that he had seizures. Cardiac arrest. All these had never happened before. Some hours later, Nkanu was gone It turns out that Nkanu was NEVER monitored after being given too much propofol. The anesthesiologist had just casually carried Nkanu on his shoulder to the theater, so nobody knows when exactly Nkanu became unresponsive. How can you sedate a sick child and neglect to monitor him? Later, after the 'central line' procedure, the anesthesiologist casually switched off Nkanu's oxygen and again decided to carry him on his shoulder to the ICU! The anesthesiologist was CRIMINALLY negligent. He was fatally casual and careless with the precious life of a child. No proper protocol was followed. We brought in a child who was unwell but stable and scheduled to travel the next day. We came to conduct basic procedures. And suddenly, our beautiful little boy was gone forever. It is like living your worst nightmare. I will never survive the loss of my child. We have now heard about two previous cases of this same anesthesiologist overdosing children. Why did Euracare allow him to keep working? This must never happen to another child".

The 10year rule is absolutely ridiculous. 1st time hearing about it. Airline should do better at letting travellers know if they meet travelling requirements when checking in in advance before the holiday booked. @easyJet Can I atleast get partial refund?
