If the Honourable CM has followed the news for the last 5 years instead of mugging up punch dialogues, he'd have known what the entire nation knows - DMK left TamilNadu stonger not emptier. GSDP Growth : 11.19% real growth in 2024–25 — highest in India, first double-digit in 14 years, 4+ pts above national average. Followed by ~10.38% projected in 2025–26 — back-to-back double-digit growth no other state matched. Debt-to-GSDP : At 26.4% of GSDP, TN is well within the Finance Commission's 28.7% ceiling. Union Govt itself sits at 60%+ debt-to-GDP, 1.5× its own 40% target. Rate of Borrowing : DMK grew debt at 93% vs AIADMK's 128% — the party crying "empty treasury" should compare the previous borrowed 27% faster. This was achieved despite the Centre cutting TN's tax devolution share and retaining 100% of cesses & surcharges outside the divisible pool — borrowing more was a necessity, not recklessness. On the 10 lakh crore claim, Both the TN state budget (Rs 9.29L cr) and Union MoF (Rs 9.56L cr) contradict this figure — it has no official backing.

Chennai: Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and TVK Chief C Joseph Vijay says, "When crores of people stand with me, I have the confidence and belief in my heart that together we can face anything, no matter what comes our way. Today, the condition in which our Tamil Nadu government has been left is something I have seen for myself. The last government has gone out after borrowing debts of more than Rs 10 lakh crore. The treasury had been completely emptied before they left office. It is in such a situation that we have taken charge..."

Disclosure: I'm a Brahmin and not posting this tweet based on my caste bias. DMK is more close to Periyar's ideology. So they highlight atheism, not giving prominence to religion and so on. ADMK, despite being a dravidian party, the founder MGR was a very religious person. His successor Jayalalitha was not only religious but also followed many rituals too. Edapaddi Palaniswami is also a religious person. Except one single occasion which was an aberration, as a policy Brahmins were never given MLA seats or part of any ministry during the last 6 decades. This is because the dravidian movement basically started as an anti brahmin movement. Vijay has given two seats for Brahmins and both have won. Media reports that one of them may be made minister tomorrow. Though many might have missed it, this is something which is happening in Tamil Nadu after six decades. Brahmins were never part of any ministry. Many Brahmins I know voted for Vijay. Former Chief Minister Jayalalitha was a brahmin. May be her influence would have also tilted MGR towards religion. Trisha Krishnan is also a brahmin. May be her influence is shaping Vijay's religious approach. I was wondering whether to post this. Since it was part of my current political analysis, thought why not I post this.

@tyonepalikta @divya_gandotra This is called misinformation dude, India was an exception when it came to the agreement India is a sovereign republic, and is a Commonwealth member because of its economic ties Even though I have no hate for Nepalis, Nepal is a country dependent on China and India heavily

@divya_gandotra India is still a commonwealth. Your head of state is King Charles III. We are independent nation, we will do what we recognize as it truly is. You cannot go out claiming territories. Your people come to Nepal for jobs as well. Time to depoet them and do so humiliatingly.

India has kept Nepal’s economy breathing for decades… open borders, jobs for lakhs of Nepalis, trade access via Indian ports, fuel pipelines, power projects, disaster relief, infrastructure, scholarships, even military cooperation. And this is how Nepal Airlines responds? A flight network map casually showing the entire Jammu & Kashmir region aligned with Pakistan. This isn’t a “design choice.” It’s a political statement. At a time when India continues to be Nepal’s biggest partner, such messaging from a national carrier is not just irresponsible, it’s telling. Fix the map. @NepalAirlinesRA

Man goes to America. Does PhD. Stays back. Gets job. Starts family. Starts business. Builds fortune. In that order. Years pass. All well. All perfect. Until not anymore. Problems in marriage. On the verge. Desperate to separate. Only one hurdle. California is a “community property” state. Which means that wealth generated during a marriage is generally split 50-50 in a divorce. Whatever man owns of his business, wife gets half of it. Can’t let that happen. Solution? Transfers almost all he owns to siblings in India. Shares, IPR, the works. Keeps only 5% to himself. And then? Back to India. Two oceans away from California laws. Away from American jurisdiction, under banners of “rural empowerment,” “austerity,” and “nation-building,” a new phase of life about to start. Unencumbered with the ghosts from the troubled marriage. But wait...man still married, right? WhatsApp to the rescue. Talaq...talaq...talaq. Sorry, he no Muslim, so no talaq. Just a polite WhatsApp text saying, me want divorce. Finally free. Unencumbered from the woman’s presence, breath of fresh air. New life. New narratives. “The recluse” who owns just 5% of his business! Except, sister safekeeps 47% and brother 35%. Nationalism, austerity, and build-in-India. Potent mix. Man becomes patron saint of Bharatmata’s arrival. But wife unwilling to give up. Stranded with a specially abled son, woman moves court. In California. Court passes verdict. Man guilty of abandonment. Asked to post a billion-dollar bond. Man appeals. Loses. Man tries restructuring business. Court says no. Man must distance himself from the corporate helm at his business to safeguard interests. Steps down as CEO. Steps up as “chief whatever.” Convenient. Effective? Time will tell. But for now... Quite the rockstar in home country. Writing open letters asking Indians to “come back for Bharatmata.” Basking in hero-worship. Might enter politics, the last refuge, you know. Unsolicited advice: Don’t listen to him. He had to, you don’t. There’s a reason you left home. And that reason isn’t just money. It’s a quality of life your folks back home cannot begin to comprehend.

Sridhar bro, this is 'Billionaire Privilege' disguised as patriotism. You spent 30 years in the US building Zoho into a global giant. You returned only after securing a multi-billion dollar safety net. Telling the Indian diaspora to abandon the US while your company continues to expand its footprint there is the height of hypocrisy. You want the US market’s revenue, but you lecture the people who actually live, work, and pay taxes there. If the diaspora are just 'bystanders,' why is your sales team so focused on them? Patriotism isn't a missionary zeal you impose on others from a position of ultimate financial security.
Sridhar Vembu@svembu

Open letter to Indians in America. -- Dear brothers and sisters from Bharat: Like I did 37 years ago, you arrived in America with no money but with a good education and cultural heritage from Bharat. You achieved outstanding success. America was good to us. For that we must remain grateful - gratitude is our Bharatiya way. Yet today, a significant number of Americans, may be not the majority but not too far from it either, believe that Indians "take away" American jobs and our success in America was unfairly earned. You may think the next election will fix this, but your choice would be between people who hate our Bharatiya civilisation and people who hate civilisation itself. That is the "hard right" vs "woke left" battle. You are mere bystanders to that conflict. Meanwhile there is one thing that is true now and will be true in the future: the respect Indians command world-wide will substantially depend on the fortunes of India herself. If India remains poor, the woke left will give us moral lectures with pity and the hard right, different moral lectures with scorn ("hellhole") and we must not confuse either with respect. Respect in today's world, along with prosperity and security, comes from one source: a nation's technological prowess. India produces sufficient brain power to achieve that prowess but alas we exported so much of that talent, particularly to America. As we develop that prowess in India, our civilisational strength will assert itself. As difficult as it is for many of you to contemplate this, please come back home. Bharat Mata needs your talent. Our vast youthful population needs the technology leadership you gained over the years to guide them towards prosperity. Let's do it with a missionary zeal. Respectfully Sridhar Vembu

A win for South India. A win for Democracy. A win for Federalism. Today marks a significant moment, as democratic forces came together to defeat the 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill in Parliament. The BJP attempted to use women’s reservation as a cover to push through delimitation. An alert and united Opposition stood firm and defeated these attempts. We are supporters of women’s reservation and it has nothing to do with Delimitation. Parliament passed this bill unanimously in 2023, which is now part of our Constitution. We will continue to stand united to protect democracy and ensure every voice is heard. Jai Hind!

He is Chandan Lodha, also known as Hindutva Knight. Chandan was born into a Lodhi Rajput family in Bihar. His mother is a Lodhi Rajput, and his father is Dalit. When Chandan was kid, his father went to Delhi for work and never came back. News spread in the village that his Dalit father had married someone else. This news shattered his mother and she married someone else His second father taught him to abuse Ambedkar and their followers. He abused Ambedkar on every social media platform. Two days ago, his Dalit father returned to his mother and him and explained that he had been honey-trapped by a “Hindu sherni.” When Chandan got to know that this Dalit man was his real father, he broke into tears and hugged him. Chandan forgave his Dalit father and started respecting Ambedkar again. And he tweeted this yesterday to show his Dalit father that how much he loves him This is not just a story, it is about wounds, silence, and the fragile return of empathy.

These are independent, living Indian languages, spoken by crores of people each with its own history and culture. Yet, all of them are conveniently pushed under one umbrella and called ‘Hindi’ SHAME?
Ravi Gupta@FilmiHindustani

Traveled 10 km as an Indian cinema lover to watch a TAMIL film #Parasakthi.. only to witness OPEN HATRED against HINDI, portrayed as if it were a foreign Invader's language, not part of India. Seeing such OUTDATED, toxic narratives in an Indian film today is honestly SHAMEFUL. Language-based 'sub-nationalism' is being weaponized by small-time local politicians to stay relevant.. and cinema is sadly becoming their loudspeaker. As an Indian, I take pride in every Indian language. But this film leaves no opportunity to target Hindi and appease Tamil-centric political narratives. Cinema should unite India, not spread linguistic poison. Dear #SudhaKongara (Director), cinema is art.. not a language war manual. Take a chill pill, sister. Deeply disappointed. 🎬🇮🇳
