BREAKING update on the USCIS benefit adjudication pause/holds: USCIS posted that have lifted the adjudication pause holds for non-citizens in the following groups * vetted through Operation PARRIS, * certain petitions filed by U.S. citizens (not clear which ones or if it is case by case, * intercountry adoption forms, * certain rescheduled oath ceremonies, * statutory and regulatory decision issuance {I have absolutely no idea what that is * refugee registrations for South African citizens/nationals * certain special immigrant visa petitions, certain employment authorization documents * asylum applications from non high-risk countries, and * "applications associated with medical physicians". "We continue to review all application types and lift holds for both individual and group cases as appropriate."

Since December, the Trump admin has refused to process all applications for legal immigration benefits for people inside the USA who were born in one of 39 different countries around the world. 83 plaintiffs in the below case sued, won, and will now get their applications heard.

YOUR income, not his. Two years, he dumps you and POOF we have a mess. That sounds like an opening to a marriage fraud adventure. I'm not surprised you are getting a second look over. His cultural background and his lack of income does make him look suspect. EVEN if entirely unfair. Prior vetting was so badly lacking, that all are being redone. That takes time.

So @USCISJoe tweeted and deleted this today - why? Is it because it directly contradicts PM-602-0192/4 which prevents USCIS Officers from granting greencards broadly, with no individual assessment? Or simply because today is a dedicated ballroom propaganda day?

The 75 country slow down is about a high probability of becoming welfare dependent, resulting in a need to closely look at ability to support oneself, and not culturally included to be a parasite. that is legal under INA 212a The public charge rule. The 39 country slowdown is for those from nations with little or no vetting data, so we have no way to determine crimials history, associations or verify what is on application forms. "Police cleared" isn't really possible in those nations. I am sorry, but the Biden administration stamped the visa of anyone who could breath, and did next to no real investigation. That does not meet the requirements in statute

The Trump Administration is trying to dismantle our legal immigration system piece by piece. It indefinitely paused processing for LEGAL immigration applications—with little explanation and zero plan to restart. Time to investigate.

Senate Judiciary Democrats are calling for an investigation into Trump admin attacks on legal immigration, including indefinite holds in immigration processing & re-reviews of previously approved green card & naturalization applicants. This is a much-needed call for transparency.
