@LizzieCassMaran I'd like to make it clear that I don't agree with this. Even when it isn't possible to change, there are better ways to gather the information.
English

@LizzieCassMaran There are other ways to handle this. However, it may be used to collect gender identity. In financially regulated stuff, lots of the government systems still work on binary gender. Pensions, for example, when different genders may have different rights.

In all seriousness, is anyone able to tell me a valid reason for having someone's title as a mandatory form field?
FYI The legacy of how a backend system is set up is not a valid reason.

@vayiam @LeonieWatson This blends with a concept of life stats. Somewhere in my brain I can find out stuff like how many biscuits I've consumed. I'm pretty sure I'd be due a medal.

@LiamSpradlin I don't like how many keyboards feel. Especially the mac keyboards with metal are a big trigger for me. I have poor motor control, so the feedback of a mechanical or deep key keyboard plays a big part in my typing ability. I realise this is very much a Dyspraxic thing!

@WalterStephanie I strongly dislike stuff like this because it inevitably comes up at work (no matter where I am working)

@jmarshallBKLYN Having worked for careers advice companies in the UK the advice always given is two pages. Having hired amazing people, I've not been counting the pages. Just want that easy to scan formatting :)

@chanjohnathan @connorburtis @ZachShea @disco_lu @figma @FacebookOrigami Shout out to Axure... if you're willing to spend months learning it and happy to end up writing javascript to get your dynamic bits working well. That said, it's still my first prototyping tool love.

@CrayolaTheQueen They're sort of like a ranking system around the office. 1 lanyard? Beginner, send them to get your coffee. 15? Hold the door and speak in honorifics, they've been to one of every conference. They've also built neck muscles from all that fabric weight.
English

@AmyNeedsAJob @Amy_Hupe I do wonder if I’m building up a similar reputation!

@CrayolaTheQueen And then forgetting to remember to reply another time?

@benhall_io @dddsouthwest Not all of us were there at the meal. It was very much optional! In my typical Neurodivergent way, I avoided the meal aspect. I turned up for my workshop today and met all sorts of amazing people :)
