When I was a kid my dad always made me work around the house and do yard work. I used to tell him all the time that I hated working and that I was going to get rich so I would not have to work forever. He would always say, “You’re going to work your entire life so get used to it.” That put me on a mission to prove him wrong. I started working at 13 doing yard work for $4.25 an hour. By 15 I was working construction during summers while also working for the school district during the school year. At 18 I started buying stocks and at 21 in 2005 I bought my first house. I worked constantly but still could never seem to get ahead. Then 2008 happened. My house dropped around 60% and I had to sell stocks to pay off debt. It took years to recover from all of that. Eventually in 2018 I let the house go because it was still worth less than what I paid for it. I had to completely start over. That’s when I really dove into learning about entrepreneurship, real estate, crypto, the stock market, budgeting, and how money actually works. I became obsessed with figuring out how to get ahead. From 2017 to 2020 I was in and out of Bitcoin and altcoins but I still did not fully understand why I was working so hard without moving forward. Then around 2020 to 2022 I started studying monetary history and the money system itself. That’s when everything clicked. The system was designed to keep people working harder and harder for money that buys less and less over time. The endless devaluation of currency was the real problem. Once I understood that I started buying gold from 2021 to 2024 and bought about one ounce a year. But in late 2024 I truly understood Bitcoin and once again everything clicked. I sold my gold, sold the little bit of stocks I still had, paid off most of my debt, and went all in on Bitcoin. Since December 2024 I have bought nothing but Bitcoin. Now I finally understand why it always felt impossible to get ahead no matter how hard I worked. It was the debt based fiat system. For the first time in my life I feel real hope because Bitcoin gives people a way to finally move forward instead of constantly falling behind. I will probably never fully retire because I love building and creating. But I do believe Bitcoin gives me a chance to stop being a wage slave for the rest of my life. Bitcoin is hope really is a true phrase.

I recently deleted my old X account after 4 years of building it to over 5,000 followers. That account was a personal diary… I posted about everything: life in California, construction work, DoorDashing, relationships, sports, investing, marketing, editing, business, and whatever else was on my mind. A few posts went mega-viral (millions of views), I got monetized, and for a while I was pulling in $25–$50 every two weeks… until the payouts dried up completely for the last 6 months. Eventually my reach collapsed. I was lucky to get 10–200 impressions per post. I also got blocked by a ton of accounts for calling out the dumb, clout-chasing stuff people posted for likes. So I wiped the slate clean. I didn’t want my personal life scattered across the internet anymore. I wanted the low-quality posts from the past gone. I was tired of zero reach, and most importantly, I wanted to go all-in on the one topic I’ve become truly passionate about: Bitcoin. This new account is focused. No more trying to be everything to everyone. I don’t chase follower counts anymore. I’m not here for monetization (it’s peanuts compared to my construction business and Bitcoin appreciation anyway). I don’t want to game the algorithm or feel beholden to X and Elon for payouts that can disappear anytime. I’m here to post what I actually believe, connect with the Bitcoin community, vibe with like-minded people, and bring whatever value I can. If that eventually leads to real opportunities, creating things others willingly pay for, even better. But the main mission is simple: stay focused on Bitcoin and be part of this community. If you’re a Bitcoiner, say what’s up. Let’s build. ₿

I’d choose Bitcoin. Bitcoin benefits the entire network and its users directly, it’s a decentralized, permissionless system where holding and using BTC strengthens the protocol, its security, and its adoption for everyone involved. VOO (or stocks in general) primarily benefits the asset holder, but it also props up the existing fiat currency system. That system, through inflation and monetary policy, systematically transfers wealth from everyone who doesn’t hold appreciating assets to those who do (and to governments/banks). It punishes savers and wage earners who are priced out over time. In short: BTC aligns incentives across the network in a sound-money framework. Traditional equities, while great for returns in the current regime, reinforce the very system that erodes purchasing power for non-participants. It’s not only a financial issue it’s a moral issue for me.

@AnHonestNode If you enjoy your work and can see yourself doing it in 20yrs then fine could be enough. If you hate your job now, 20years is a lot a wasted time doing something you hate. More bitcoin = earlier freedom

If you had 0.25 Bitcoin right now… Do you need to save money anymore for retirement let’s say in 20 years, or will that be enough?

@Alleninvests Zero because a long term holder is at least 10 years. If they sell within 5 years because of a price drop they’re just tourist

Serious question: If Bitcoin dipped 75% and stayed down for over 5years… How many “long-term holders” do you think would become sellers? Be honest…

Imagine telling Babe Ruth that a 5-cent hot dog at the ballpark would one day cost $9. An 18,000% increase. He’d look at you and say, “How?” You’d tell him: “Central banks can print infinite money backed by nothing.”
