Yesterday my parents went to, what they thought, was a celebration of life for someone that passed away last year and it turned out to be the funeral for someone else entirely and I can't stop thinking about how that would be a great plot point in a comedy 🤣

If you’ve converted to Orthodoxy in the past 5 years, or you are a catechumen or inquirer, I strongly recommend you stop talking about Orthodoxy on the internet. Just get through the early years in a real life community with a priest who’s got the wisdom to guide you. I say this as a middle-aged cradle who’s seen a lot.
