For what its worth, Stallworth was still playing in the NFL when Hancock was out of the league.

Lipps was one of the few legitimately successful players the team drafted in the mid-1980s. If he had a superstar QB, he's probably in the Hall of Fame. He's still fourth all-time in receptions behind @mvp86hinesward, Stallworth, & @AB84.

The Steelers had a chance to draft a potential Swann/Stallworth replacement in Anthony Hancock, but decide instead to draft a potential @francoharrishof replacement in Walter Abercrombie instead. Both were busts, but if the Steelers get Hancock, they likely don't get Louis Lipps

Even Blackledge knew Marino was better than him. Arguably the worst of the six. At least Tony Eason took the Pats to the Super Bowl and was always hurt.

@JaguarGator9NFL In hindsight, Steelers made the right move even if Abercrombie himself was a bust. Had they "screwed" the Chiefs by drafting Hancock, they probably don't draft Louis Lipps with their first round pick two years later. Unlike either of those guys, Lipps was a star.
