Answer: D A or B; it depends on whether the database is case-sensitive. LIKE '%ann%' and LIKE '%Ann%' both work if case sensitivity isn’t enforced. I also broke down SQL wildcards earlier in the Day 5 challenge, so this one was an easy pick. #SQL

Do you really know SQL? 😊 Day 10/30 You want employees whose name contains “ann”. A. WHERE Name LIKE '%Ann%' B. WHERE Name LIKE '%ann%' C. WHERE Name LIKE '%Ann%' OR '%ann%' D. A or B (depending on case sensitivity)

Answer: A; DROP DATABASE dbname; Why the others are wrong: B. DELETE DATABASE dbname: DELETE works for rows in a table, not entire databases. C. REMOVE dbname: This is not a valid SQL command. D. ERASE DATABASE dbname: Also not an SQL command; SQL doesn’t use “ERASE.” #SQL

The correct answers are B & D Why both work: It depends on the database you’re using: 👉🏾 TOP 5 is used in SQL Server (and MS Access). 👉🏾 LIMIT 5 is used in MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and most other modern databases. Same goal, different “SQL accent” #SQL #SQLServer

Do you really know SQL? 😊 Day 6/30 How do you select only the first 5 rows from a table named Orders? A. SELECT 5 FROM Orders; B. SELECT TOP 5 * FROM Orders; C. SELECT * LIMIT 5 Orders; D. SELECT * FROM Orders LIMIT 5; Ps: there are two correct answers🙂
