@Anarfea The middle pedal allows you to sustain the notes you're currently holding but then the notes that follow play normally. A long dramatic bass hold could use middle pedal.
Or, you're pedaling more often than people think with the regular sostenuto, or it's fine with a little blur

I saw the total eclipse at Grand Teton
The flowers closed. The animals got quiet. People got quiet. We all just stood in awe of the white ring around the moon. The sky was pink for 360° degrees. A circular sunset and sunrise. The snowy mountains turned pink, too
