@Anarfea "Default" practice is pedal with at least (at least) every chord change and chords change pretty often. So even with that scenario, you're still refreshing pretty often. Over-pedaling is a thing but just using this as an example of "even the long hold isn't long"

@Anarfea It really doesn't become a muddled mess even with a few nonchord tones in the mix, on many instances, and the resonance of non-pedaled instruments in a room w nice acoustics shows the ear already finds a little overlap of the pitches nice in many contextual melodic circumstances
