Kerala recorded 49.7% voter turnout till 1.30 pm, with four districts crossing the 50% mark: Ernakulam (52.94%), Kozhikode (50.10%), Palakkad (51.27%) and Thrissur (50.48%).
According to the Election Commission, 60 constituencies have already seen polling above 50%.

Chennai wants a HYDRAA- like system now.
A delegation from Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) visited Hyderabad to study HYDRAA’s model for lake restoration, nala revival and protection of government/public land.
• CMDA said a unified system like HYDRA is needed for cities like Chennai that face recurring flood threats.
• The team appreciated how HYDRA brought multiple departments under one coordination mechanism and delivered results in a short time.
• HYDRAA officials said 1,166 acres of government land have been protected in just 1.5 years.
