#Tyranny (n) - oppressive power exerted by government; a rigorous condition imposed by some outside agency or force; Greek - τύραννος: originally a single ruler of a city-state, but later becomes the antithesis of democracy during a revolt in Athens.

#Oligarchy (n) - a government in which a small group exercises control especially for corrupt and selfish purposes; Greek - ὀλιγαρχία ‘rule by few’; from ὀλίγος 'few' and ἄρχω 'to rule, command'

#Democracy (n) - a form of government in which the people elect representatives to make decisions, policies, laws, etc. according to law; Greek - dēmokratía; dēmos ‘people’ and kratos ‘rule’ with total authority.
