Fighters are getting closer to 85% of the rev. Why? MVP are not true promoters. They were given a budget by Netflix who said arrange the fights for us. Netflix said Shave 10-15% off the dollar figure of the budget for yourself. MVP is not a promoter. They’re event planners. Like a wedding planning company. This is why they won’t commit to a second MMA event. Because they haven’t been allocated a budget yet. Without the Netflix provided budget, they won’t exist.

@abeG718 100% it was all about Zuffa, there was clearly some desperation in the negotiation from Jai's team to get the deal done (no opportunities for him elsewhere) and maybe they should have pushed harder to get it on a Ring card as opposed to Zuffa card.

@AndStillBoxing I get that but in the end, the IBF made it about the organization (Zuffa) instead of the fighter (Opetaia) who held and defended their title for an extended period of time w/o any issues.

@abeG718 Alot of people wanted clarity quickly at the time. Damned if they do, damed if they dont. Only one side said they wouldnt work with the sanctioning bodies. In the Usyk case, they seem to have said they are happy to continue working in rotation. Unless Ive read it wrong.

@AndStillBoxing Their were those conversations but you pull the sanction after the presser and do the flip flop of stripping him and not stripping him with that whole mess. They could have waited until the fight night played out and then make a decision based off the whole situation.

@ChaseDeMoor How close to the event do you expect to get them? 2 weeks out seems short to me from the outside.

Contracts are difficult because there are lawyers ect involved, especially with international fights. There has to be a legal translator as well these things take time, im the main event and I haven’t even gotten mine yet. Stay patient its coming.

@izdatyofaceee @FightsATW Yes...but, he didn't have to up to 2 days before the fight as the fight was sanctioned. He was supposed to request an exception 2 days before the fight? Even though the IBF official had already bounced? He should've been given an opportunity to keep the title.
