A hypocrite says one thing but does the opposite, like a teammate who talks about working hard but leaves practice early. It's easy to talk the talk, but harder to follow through. In Luke, Jesus warns His followers about the 'leaven of the Pharisees'—their pride and hypocrisy. Like leaven that puffs up bread, the Pharisees' teachings were inflated and untrue, as they didn’t live by what they preached. Jesus reminds us that nothing is hidden from God; He sees and knows all. While it may be tempting to live in hypocrisy, God calls us to walk in truth, knowing that everything will be brought to light. #devotion #hypocrite
