What's the most exciting wine region on the planet currently? I think there are strong arguments to be made for so many, from France to Australia, but I can't help thinking South Africa gets my vote for innovation and quality, especially mid- to top-tier wines.

I loved meeting Charla Bosman, winemaker of @SijnnWines. And what a wild vineyard, W.O Malgas. Part Châteauneuf-du-Pape, part Douro; for a combination of the most African vineyard site I’ve seen. My story for @WOSA_ZA : wosa.co.za/WOSA-News/Blog…

Our Imvini Wethu is a unique blend of Cinsault and Pinotage! It seems we are not only doing good by sharing all our profits but also by being an inspiration for a uniquely South African blend and taste profile! @gregsherwoodmw
Winemag@Winemag

Could Cinsault-Pinotage blends amount to something both compelling to drink and simultaneously uniquely South African? @gregsherwoodmw ponders these two varieties: winemag.co.za/wine/opinion/g…

Interesting article by @gregsherwoodmw on the future of pinotage and cinsault in South Africa. Greg calls them unlikely bedfellows but has high praise for Imvini Wethu Cinsault Pinotage 2019 bit.ly/2Q5yKEh
