@tomiteacher Instead of a cannon fodder, how about ensuring the ones they’ve got want to stay. Like better conditions, removing layers of management, ensuring nurses have time to nurse & not wear them down with ‘minimum’ (ie, let’s work the staff to the bone) staffing levels. Just a thought.

It’s all very well training nurses, this is happening where I work with 300% increase since 2019. But there must also be quality placements, staff to teach them and mentors in practice.
